At Stephen Wise Temple, we firmly believe that B’nai Mitzvah represents a waypoint on a child’s Jewish journey into adulthood. As a rite of passage, becoming a B’nai Mitzvah opens the doors to greater and more meaningful ways of expressing our Judaism. Wise offers a variety of ways for children to continue embracing the Jewish values they embraced in the process of becoming a B’nai Mitzvah.

The opportunity to learn doesn’t end with Bar or Bat Mitzvah. As countless of our teens have discovered, giving back to the Center for Youth Engagement community as a madrich or madrichah  a teaching intern) not only sparks the joy of Jewish knowledge for our younger students, but also allows teens to develop leadership and teaching skills while adding to their Jewish learning.
