Stephen Wise Temple and Schools’ Shoe Buddies program is back! This wonderful initiative benefits every fifth grader at 93rd St. Elementary School in Downtown Los Angeles, where we will donate over 160 pair of new shoes.
For many of these children, this is the first pair of new shoes they will have ever worn—as many have old, worn-out hand-me-downs from older siblings and donations. In addition, families with modest means are being hit particularly hard by inflation and your support will make a tremendous difference. Become a “Shoe Buddy” for as many children as you’d like by clicking on the link below. Soon after you complete the sign-up form, you will receive information on your “Shoe Buddy,” including shoe size, so that you can purchase a pair of everyday athletic shoes and three (3) pairs of socks from our Amazon Wish List (average total cost $50-$65). Those shoes will be shipped to Stephen Wise Temple and we will ensure they make it back to our friends at 93rd St. Elementary School.
If you prefer to give a monetary donation, we can use the funds that are raised to buy socks and shoes for any child who hasn’t been matched.
Shoes and socks must be delivered to Wise by Thursday, December 1.
