Wise School will be closed today due to road closures and issues accessing campus. Programs have been cancelled.
Fortunately, campus continues to be safe from fire danger. Our prayers and our gratitude are with all of the brave firefighters working to keep all of our communities safe.
If you are in need of assistance or if you have resources to provide, please contact [email protected] and our staff will be in touch.

Due to the Getty Fire and related road closures, Stephen Wise Temple and Wise School are closed today (Monday, October 28). Currently, the campus is safe and not part of the mandatory evacuation zone. Members of our team are on campus monitoring the situation closely. We will continue to provide updates via social media and email as needed.

Wise School families will be informed by Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m. about whether or not classes will be in session.

Of course, as important as it is to make sure the physical structures that make up our campus are protected, our tradition reminds us that keeping one another whole is paramount. Many members of our community have had to evacuate their homes while many others live near evacuation zones and are on stand-by. We pray for the safety of all of those who are battling the fire as well as those in the affected communities.

As a community, we must be there for one another. We are currently reaching out to Wise members who have been evacuated due to the fire and we have set up a special email address ([email protected]) which you can use if you are able to offer support or if you are in need of support during this difficult time.

Although our offices are currently closed, you may still call the main Wise number (310.476.8561) and press 2 to be connected with our answering service in the event of a life-cycle emergency or if you need assistance because of the fire. They will reach out to a member of our staff right away so that someone can get back to you quickly.

In moments like these, we feel especially blessed to be inheritors of a tradition and members of a community that provides support, strength, and hope.
