Stephen Wise Temple helps you beat the heat during outdoor services on Rosh Hashanah

Stephen Wise Temple is excited to welcome our community and guests to campus for High Holy Day services, starting tonight with Erev Rosh Hashanah. We are aware that it is expected to be very warm for Rosh Hashanah Day services, and we want to assure you that, as always, our top priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of our community.

Donate to Wise buttonWe have taken the following steps to make your worship experience as comfortable as possible:

  • Our air conditioning units were fully serviced prior to High Holy Days. They will be on throughout and we will have technicians standing by.
  • Our outdoor space on Nahmias Plaza will have evaporative coolers to keep things comfortable for our attendees.
  • Seats on Nahmias Plaza will also be covered by a large shade structure.
  • We will have a hydration station with water and cups available.

Additionally, we encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather.

If heat is still a concern for you and you would prefer to attend services inside our air-conditioned Sanctuary, they are:

  • 9:30 a.m, (masks required)
  • 11:30 a.m. (masks strongly recommended)
