  • April 26, 12:00pm ET (Public): New Israeli Government
    • After three grueling elections in one year, Israel has formed a new government. Earlier this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former political rival, Blue and White’s Benny Gantz, agreed to form a national unity government in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Under the new agreement, Netanyahu will serve as Prime Minister for 18 months, after which time he will be succeeded by Gantz, who, in the meantime, will serve as Israel’s Defense Minister. Will it last? What will be on the new government’s policy agenda and how are Israelis responding? Joining us to answer these questions and more will be David Horovitz, Founding Editor of The Times of Israel.
  • April 27, 12:00pm ET (Public): Coronavirus, Conspiracy Theories, and the Current State of Global Antisemitism
    • Well before the COVID-19 pandemic, antisemitism was on the rise, both in Europe and in the United States. Now, the coronavirus has given new life to an especially nefarious canard, one that has played a central part in fueling antisemitism for centuries: conspiracy theories. Join AJC for a discussion on how to combat these outlandish, hate-filled myths, as well as for an analysis on the current state of global antisemitism. Our guests will be Katharina von Schnurbein, European Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism; Nikita Malik, Director of the Centre on Radicalisation and Terrorism at the Henry Jackson Society; and Holly Huffnagle, AJC’s U.S. Director for Combating Antisemitism.

As a central player in the transatlantic relationship, a key ally of Israel, and an economic powerhouse, Germany plays a critical role on the global stage. Join us for a discussion with H.E.
