Stephen Wise Temple Campus
Shanah Tovah! We know the High Holy Days are an exciting and busy time in your life. So let’s make your life a whole bunch easier and direct your attention to the TOP things you need to know going into this amazing Rosh Hashanah weekend with Stephen Wise Temple.
And remember, there’s a lot more information here:

WHERE ARE EREV ROSH HASHANAH SERVICES ON SUNDAY?
On the Stephen Wise Temple campus!
5 p.m. = Family Soulful Service (fun for all ages!)
8 p.m. = Erev Rosh Hashanah All Community Service
WILL THERE BE ENOUGH PARKING THAT NIGHT?
Of course but please be sure to only show up about 1 hour in advance of your service. We promise you’ll find it very easy to park without issue on our campus or at AJU Lots 3 and 4 or on Casiano Road (Street restrictions have been lifted for ALL High Holy Days! Obey fire hydrant rules and red zones, but other restrictions are not in play).
SHOULD I BRING MY OWN PRAYERBOOK?
Nope! This year we are providing every attendee with a prayerbook. At some services you’re going to get a draft version of our new machzor in the works. The Wise clergy and design team have assembled a beautiful book and we are very excited for you to see an early version of it.
I AM A MEMBER, WHERE ARE MY TICKETS?
If you have renewed your membership, we mailed your tickets out this summer or we’re holding them at will call because it’s too close to the date to mail them. Questions? We can help! Check with Membership@WiseLA.org and they can assist. Don’t wait to the last minute: as you know, we are closed on Shabbat and on Sunday! Our staff will be ready 1 hour prior to Sunday’s service for will call (ticket pick-up), additional sales, and to help direct you.
CAN WE BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
Tickets are still available online at WiseLA.org/HighHolyDays. But yes, tickets are available for sale at the service you are attending. Show up a little early (45 minutes ought to do it) and we can help.
WE HEARD YOU WERE OFFERING LYFT DISCOUNT CODES. CAN I STILL GET ONE?
You sure can! REGISTER HERE and you’ll get a code by email.
DO YOU HAVE STUFF FOR KIDS?
So. Much. STUFF! Check out WiseLA.org/HHDFamily for all family experiences, times, and sign-up forms, but here’s the quick list:
- Tiny T’filah and Praying with Parents (services for parents AND kids together!)
- Days of Awesome (holiday themed activities JUST for kids from DK/K to 6th Grade!)
- Child Care (available for all services for little ones, newborns to age 9!)
WHAT ABOUT YOM KIPPUR?
We’ll send you a lot of this info a few days before Yom Kippur but here are some highlights:
- We are holding just ONE service on the Wise Campus for Kol Nidre/Erev Yom Kippur (8 p.m.)
- Yizkor will be attached to the end of your MORNING/DAY service and will NOT be part of your afternoon service.
- If you’d like to attend an afternoon Yizkor service, we will honor your ticket at Bel Air Church or Skirball Center.
- Stick around for learning sessions or music and contemplation! Learn more at WiseLA.org/YomKippur.
SHOULD I FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE HELPFUL SECURITY AND STAFF AS WELL AS POSTED SIGNS?
That is SUCH a good idea. Our staff are here to help and they are incredible!
THIS IS VERY HELPFUL AND COMPREHENSIVE, THANK YOU!
Oh, it’s our pleasure. But if we didn’t cover something you REALLY need to know, please check out WiseLA.org/HighHolyDays and of course email us (HighHolyDays@WiseLA.org) or call us (310.476.8561)
