Join us tomorrow evening for the final sermon of this series.  Throughout the month of Elul, our Rabbis' sermons have focused on a particular sin from the Al Cheit in our Mahzor, for which we gently beat our chest. Along with a deeper understanding of each of these sins, we look toward the hope of God's forgiveness. This week, Rabbi David Woznica's sermon will focus on "for the sin which we have sinned by disgracing the Jewish people." 

The ultimate goal of S'lihot is to seek forgiveness from God and others whom we have wronged and, most importantly, to transform ourselves in the year that is to come.  Join our High Holy Day choir and all of our Rabbis and Cantors as we continue our spiritual preparation for the Days of Awe with a dessert reception on the Plaza, Havdalah, and a music-filled S'lihot service. | This Saturday, September 4 | Beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the mission to Poland led by Cantor Nathan Lam last year, 100 Voices: A Journey Home is a compelling and moving musical documentary that uniquely tells the history of Jewish culture in Poland.  The film will premiere in 485 AMC theaters throughout North America on Tuesday evening, September 21 at 7 p.m., including theaters throughout the San Fernando Valley and Westside. Additionally, the film will have an extended engagement from September 22 to September 28 at the AMC Century City 15. Some shows are already sold out, so buy your tickets before it's too late!

All 18- to 26-year-old young adults who haven't traveled to Israel before can soon apply for a free trip with URJ-Kesher! Because KESHER’s Taglit-Birthright Israel program is a part of the Reform Movement, participants can be sure that the experience embodies a spirit of inclusiveness, tolerance, and progressive thinking. Each trip is also joined by a group of local Israeli peers. It is a perfect opportunity to make new cross-cultural connections and friendships.

Have some time to spare?  Volunteers are needed to help keep the Temple Gift Shop open during the week and after Shabbat services. A few hours make a HUGE difference!
