There is always a need for blood for ailing Temple members. Help supply blood to all congregants and their families when needed.  Sign-up to be on theTemple-wide blood donor list. When a Temple member has a need for your blood type, you will be contacted, and when you or your family need blood, you will be connected  with the right donor(s). To register your blood type, click here and provide the following information. (All information will remain confidential):

County/USC AIDS Lunch Project

The Temple presently participates in one major activity at the County/USC AIDS Clinic. Every other month, volunteers prepare and serve lunch for hundreds of patients as they visit the clinic for their monthly treatments. All lunches are prepared onsite at the Temple in Binkoff Art Room. Times and dates vary. For specific dates, e-mail Jennifer Smith at JSmith@WiseLA.org. This is a great family activity and a wonderful project for community service hours. Recommended age for children 5 years or older.

Project Chicken Soup

Project Chicken Soup is a non-profit organization which provides nutritious, kosher meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County. Project Chicken Soup provides nechama - comfort - to those in need, regardless of race, religion or creed, and provides a connection to the Jewish Community and the opportunity to perform acts of tikkun olam. The preparation process has no patient contact, whereas the delivery of meals allows volunteers to create a rapport with clients.
