The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, promotes adult Jewish literacy through the interactive study of a sequential, systematic curriculum based on Jewish texts. We are a global network committed to:

Goals
- To convey a basic but sophisticated core of Jewish knowledge.
- To create Jewish communities of life-long learners.
- To stimulate critical thinking and reflection about Judaism in a non-judgmental, interactive environment.
- To teach the common roots and experiences of Judaism while affirming pluralism.
- To connect Jewish study and Jewish life in a natural way.
- To stimulate increased participation in the Jewish community.
- To enhance local educational resources and create a cadre of committed, professional adult Jewish educators.
- To build a partnership between Israel and the Diaspora, based on mutual respect and utilizing the strengths of both partners.
