The Diener & Kadner Families Library is a wonderful resource, available to all Temple members, including students, faculty and staff. The library has an expansive collection of over 26,000 items, books, and magazines.

DSC_1452 Our library contains a vast array of secular and religious books, periodicals, and reference materials for adults and children. The adult section has an extensive Judaica collection that covers Bible studies, Jewish observance and practice, Jewish literature, Jewish history, Holocaust studies, the Jewish arts, biographies, Israel, and Jewish cookbooks. There is also an adult fiction section with works from many notable Jewish authors. In addition, the library has the 22-volume Encyclopedia Judaica and a special display of Haggadot.

The children’s section includes secular and religious works for young readers at all levels. Special collections in the children’s section include winners of the Caldecott, Newbery Medal and Sydney Taylor Awards, as well as many excellent books in Hebrew. There is also a parenting collection and teacher collection. Adjacent to the Main Library is the Max Hess Library for Early Childhood.

The library is open Monday through Wednesday during the school year, August through June, from 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Most materials can be checked out for two weeks and can be renewed by phone. The library is located just south of Katz Family Pavilion, overlooking the swimming pool.
