Baby & Me Program - Fall 2011

Babies

Come meet other new parents and learn with our teachers on how best to meet your baby’s changing needs. Watch your child begin to crawl, climb, and explore new toys and activities, share smiles with first friends and bounce to the sound of your voice at music time. A variety of theories, philosophies, and techniques are introduced as our teachers lead formal discussions to help you learn more about your baby and discover what works best for your family.

4-7 months: Tuesdays, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.

8-11 months: Wednesdays, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.

Toddlers

Our toddler classes give parents and children a chance to play together as they explore indoor and outdoor environments and a wide variety of learning activities. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you as you enhance your relationship with your growing toddler through play and discussion groups. Each class includes exploration, snack time, parent discussion, and music time.

12-15 months: Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.
16-19 months: Wednesdays or Fridays, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.
20-23 months: Mondays or Fridays, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

Second Time Moms

12-19 months: Mondays, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

2-Year-Olds

As your child continues to grow, so does our program. Climbing, sliding, art exploration and more take place on a new yard designed especially for your two-year-old’s developing social and motor skills. Story time is introduced to support a growing ability to focus and join in group activities and parent discussions continue to cover developmental and socially relevant topics. With your support, your child will begin to understand a basic school routine, develop first friendships, and find joy in sharing activities with others.

24-27 months: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m.

2nd Day Option with Ditza for 2-Year Olds
24-27 months: Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Enrichment

Double your fun with two classes! For families wanting more than just one class at Stephen S. Wise Temple each week, the ECC offers several enrichment classes. While these enrichment classes do not guarantee matriculation into our pre-school programs, they do offer current Baby and Me families extra time and extra fun at School.

Sing & Move with Ditza
16-23 months: Thursdays, 9:15 a.m.-10:45 a.m.

Generations Shabbat
Up to 27 months Fridays, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.

Mixed Age Playtime (8-27 months)
Mondays, 9:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Thursdays, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

New Beginnings (Expectant Families in Third Trimester)
Thursdays, 12:30-2 p.m.

Working Parents Sundays (DOB August 2008-February 2011)
Sundays, 9:30-11 a.m.
