The Stephen S. Wise Athletic Teams (S.W.A.T) are year-round competitive club teams. The Water Polo and swim teams are chartered by the United States Swimming INC and US Water Polo. The philosophy of SWAT Swimming and Water Polo is to develop team members who value hard work, discipline, and self-confidence through competitive swimming and water polo, training and competition (all in a fun environment).

SWAT swimmers and water polo players receive coaching from some of the best coaches in Southern California. Children from 8 to 18 years old are represented on the team, and all ability levels from novice to expert, participate. All prospective team members must first try out under the supervision of the SWAT coach. Minimal skill requirements include the ability to compete 25-yards non-stop of front crawl stroke (free-style), with correct breathing and 25-yards of backstroke.
