Before coming to Milken Community High School, Ms.Iversen was the middle school athletic director at Old Lyme, Connecticut for 21 years. In Old Lyme, aside from teaching phsycial education, she coached middle school field hockey, soccer, baskeball, and softball as well as high school basketball and softball.

Ms. Iversen holds four degrees in the field of education: an AS in Physical Education from Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut, a BS in Physical Education from Central Connecticut State University in New Britian, CT, a MS in Phsyical Education also from Central Connecticut State, and a MS in School Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT.

Ms. Iversen is an accomplished athlete who has been elected to the Athletic Hall of Fame at both St. Bernard's High School and Mitchell College.

At Milken, Ms. Iversen began as a swim/water polo teacher. Her second year saw her named Middle School Athletic Director as well as varsity high school basketball coach. Her responsibilities continue to grow as she is now the Aquatics Director for K-12 and temple aquatic programs. As Milken's Head Varsity Girl's Basketball coach, Ms. Iversen has be named Coach of the Year for four consecutive years, during which time her squad has finished as league champions.

Ms. Iversen relaxes by spending time with her family and pursuing her interests in traveling, reading, and gardening.
