Wise Hearts is the caring community of Stephen Wise Temple and Schools, supporting the needs of our members in times of crisis or joy. These actions will strengthen the bonds of community that will make the Temple’s support and presence meaningful in the lives of our members. The Wise Schools, in particular, have a highly-structured network of parents dedicated to caring for our community. Each classroom has a Wise Hearts representative who keeps track of the lifecycle needs of the classroom. That person brings the needs of families to the attention of the School Administration. Together, these dedicated volunteers coordinate a response to the needs of the family. This network is able to arrange play dates, carpool, meals, and home visits based on the family's needs.

In addition to lifecycle changes of our member families, some families have experienced home foreclosures,
unemployment, and loss of savings as a result of the economic recession. There are also members who are suffering effects that are not material, such as feelings
of insecurity, the loss of trust and hope, the emotional experience of
isolation, and rising anxiety about the future. To learn more about other ways our caring community helps one another – congregant to congregant, neighbor to
neighbor, and friend to friend, visit the pages on this menu for resources and other information if you are experiencing difficulties as a result of the economic crisis.
